Our
Roman coins are divided into four sections. The Republic listing
is for Roman coinage from 280 to 41 BC. The Roman Imperatorial
listing is from 49-27 BC and includes Julius Caesar and Octavian.
The Imperial listing starts with Augustus at 27 BC and continues
to 491 AD. The Provincial listing is identical to the Greek
Imperial listing and is for Greek cities under Roman rule.
